About Us and Our Community

Sherwood Park Registries was only one of three specially appointed private registry agents in the Province of Alberta by the Minister in 1972, making us and our team of dedicated and knowledgeable agents, clerks, and staff some of the longest-serving in the industry.

Our founder Ed Matheson took great pride in ensuring the success of Sherwood Park Registries as well as with working alongside Service Alberta and a founding member of the AARA to ensure smooth communications to meet the needs of Alberta residents requiring registry services. The family owned and operated business transferred ownership in 2008 to son and daughter-in-law Geoff and Bonnie Matheson who are proudly committed to operating the business with the same dedicated integrity and community support.

With Sherwood Park Registries Limited and Matheson Insurance Services Limited located in our 2008 expanded location at 52 Sioux Road Sherwood Park, Alberta we continue to be Sherwood Park/Strathcona County’s only full service “one-stop shop” to provide locals and all Alberta residents with all their registry and insurance needs.

It has been many years since 1972, with the Matheson’s commitment to both the registry and insurance industry. We have been successful recipients of multiple industry awards and achievements. Alongside that we take even more pride as Residents of Sherwood Park and Strathcona County for our long-standing community involvement with local non-profit, community, volunteer and sports associations. Although we have also received many community awards it is more valuable to us knowing we have given back to our community with both funding and volunteer activities.
